The junction of Pentonville Road and Islington High Street must be one of the busiest in London. It’s not always been like that.

For centuries Londoners would visit here to escape the squalor of the City just down the hill.  Find out how they spent their time by day and by night and how things changed very quickly.

If you want to come along, let us know at crouchendwalks@btinternet.com or on 07539399549.

We meet at 2pm at the Angel tube station.
